I think that this has a lot of bells and whistles, but I am pleased with the parts that I got it for…resizing my photos. I am still playing around with it, and having no previous experience with any other type of product like this, I would recommend it.
4 Stars It’s different from Photoshop Elements
I purchased PSP after reading Gloria Hansen’s Book Digital Essentials
( which I highly recommend for all artists, not just quilters)

I’ve used Photoshop Elements V3 for years and like it very much but after reading Gloria’s book thought I would try PSP because it had some features that PE doesn’t have. I bought the CD version (not the download) and it comes with a bunch of extras, including an excellent tutorial. I already knew what I wanted to do, I just didn’t know how to do it in PSP and the tutorial, along with Gloria’s book, really helped. However, there is a significant amount of “unlearning” because PSP’s methods are different and a little bit clunkier.
My main reason for purchasing PSP is that it can create CMYK files, which PE cannot. I need that ability in order to upload files for printing postcards and notecards and other publicity materials. PSP is a whole lot less expensive than the full blown Photoshop or some other program that does that conversion. I’m still learning the ins and outs of PSP and I figure I will probably use both it and Elements together.

Couldn’t wait to get this product, Corel Paint Shop Pro X2, couldn’t wait to unwrap the elaborate box. Couldn’t wait to download and start working whith this product. Wait, it won’t let me download. I need a special Serial number. The large manual 279 pages eludes all the special maneuvers and makes it sound so simple, but does not mention any serial numbers, where they are, what they are, how to find them. On-line support was utterly useless, what will happen if I ever do download and have a serious problem?
Nothing angers a consumer more than unpleasant suprises!!!

If you are willing to learn all the little tricks, this program is what you are looking for. There are some Video tutorials online for this…I wish there would be more,
although it comes also with a thick user guide in the box. I knew it would not be easy. The program does everything I was looking for and more. I have Vista 64 bit and it works great and without problems.
5 Stars Great Value for Powerful Editing
I am new to this software, so I can’t really compare this to previous versions, as some others can. The interface is attractive and clean–it has a very good look to it. It’s not the most powerful, do-anything software, but will do most of what the average photographer and advanced non-pro photographer would want to do…and will save you a ton compared to Photoshop. I’m still learning all the little tricks that are possible, but it has been a pretty straightforward application so far, and I’m still learning/experimenting. For the Amazon price, it’s a program you need to own if you have a digital camera, whether it’s a point and shoot or a top shelf DSLR. Not so sure? Go to the Corel site and download a 30 day trial that has full power–you’ll get hooked.
