5 Stars Great book for beginners!
I’m currently on chapter 5 and have to say this is a great book if you’re just starting out with Pro Tools. Some of the information is pretty basic in the beginning, but it really gives you a good grasp on what’s going on. Plus the examples from the book are great practice and learning tools. I’ll probably be looking for more of Mr. Hagerman’s books when I’m finished with this one.

It’s a quick start guide that is much needed if you are new to Pro-Tools.

Great book if you want to learn step by step with lots of useful information to make your project much easier. I use it often for reference. It saved a lot of time when I am looking for “how to”.

4 Stars an eye opener on Protools in practice
Excellent explanations of the fundamental concepts of Protools. Lots of practical hints and tips (e.g. on the usage of “Aux in” tracks). The focus is not on explaining every Protools feature (that’s what the manuals are for), but to give you a clear view on how to use Protools in daily practice. The authors know how to teach (which is not the same as just knowing how to use a tool without being able to explain to others). I would have given 5 stars if there hadn’t been several editing errors in (this first edition of) the book (e.g. screenshots not matching the associated description).
